Sasikumar seems all set to break free of his rustic image and adopt an urban avatar with his forthcoming film Eesan. Though his debut film Subrahmanyapuram was set in the city of Madurai,it was based in the 1970s and had more of a rustic,country-like feel to it. His second film Pasanga was based in a small village and thus it seems people have started seeing him and his films as synonymous of life in the country-side. But now, with his next, titled Eesan,Sasikumar takes to a completely urban milieu since the film zooms in on life in Chennai. Produced by Sasikumar himself, the film has Vaibhav,Samuthirakani,Abhinaya and Aparna Sharma in key roles and has music by James Vasanthan.
