High-strung father-to-be Peter Highman8217;s Robert Downey Jr. wife is due in a couple of days. Wanting to be by his wife8217;s side for the delivery,Peter hurries to catch a flight home to Los Angeles from Atlanta. But things go awry when a chance encounter with an aspiring actor Ethan Tremblay Zach Galifianakis leads to the two of them being tossed off the plane and placed on a no-fly list.
The plane takes off with Peter8217;s luggage,wallet and ID card and Peter is forced to hitch a ride with Ethan,in order to make it to his child8217;s birth on time.
Todd Phillips says: Zach Galifianakis and Robert Downey Jr. had great chemistry in Due Date. But their first meeting was something like this: Zach and me went to Downey8217;s house for dinner. For some reason,Zach rode his bike. So he arrived 15 minutes late,sweaty,vile,and immediately put his foot in his mouth by talking about an actress Robert used to date!
The Buzz
Executive Producer,Scott Budnick lent his white French bulldog for the film. The dog is Zachs travelling companion in the film.
