Delhi High Court stays release of book on Niira Radia

Justice V K Jain granted the relief to Vaishnavi Corporate Communications director Radia on her plea that the release of the book would cause irreparable loss to her reputation

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday stayed the release and circulation of a book penned by advocate R K Anand on the controversial tapped telephonic conversation of corporate lobbyist Niira Radia with several high-profile people. Justice V K Jain granted the relief to Vaishnavi Corporate Communications director Radia on her plea that the release of the book would cause irreparable loss to her reputation.

Radia has been in news after the leakage of her tapped conversations with industrialists,political leaders,corporate heads and journalists.

The book,Close Encounters with Niira Radia,written by Anand,who was held guilty by the Supreme Court of criminal contempt of court for trying to influence the witnesses in BMW hit-and-run case,was slated for release in June.
