Court extends Reddy’s custody

The court had earlier remanded them in judicial custody till September 19,giving six-day custody to CBI from September 13.

The special CBI court on Monday extended the judicial custody of mining baron and former Karnataka minister G Janardhana Reddy and his brother-in-law,B V Srinivas Reddy,till October 3.

The court had earlier remanded them in judicial custody till September 19,giving six-day custody to CBI from September 13. The duo were produced before the court on Monday morning before being taken to Chanchalguda Central prison in Hyderabad.

Meanwhile,in Bellary,the CBI on Monday conducted searches at the residences of two aides of Reddy. The raids started since morning at the residences of transporters Karapudi Mahesh and Swasthik Garek,who are both absconding,officials said,adding some more raids are expected.
