Complaint against BSY for poll code violation

Yeddyurappa was on Saturday seen bending over from a vehicle moving through the Koppal area to hand out money to a group of Veeraghase dancers.

Former Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has landed in fresh trouble with a complaint of violation of model code of conduct being taken up by the Election Commission after he was caught by television cameras doling out Rs 1,000 to a group of traditional dancers during the campaigning for the Koppal bypoll scheduled for September 26.

Yeddyurappa was on Saturday seen bending over from a vehicle moving through the Koppal area to hand out money to a group of Veeraghase dancers.

On Sunday,a local activist filed a complaint with the police against the former chief minister for bribery and corruption in elections.

Yeddyurappa,who was forced to quit as chief minister on July 31 after he was indicted in a report of the Karnataka Lok Ayukta on illegal mining in the state,is also currently facing as many as six other cases of corruption.
