Cinemax India’s Q1 net loss increases

Firm's sales during first quarter increased 28.86% to Rs 48.98cr,compared to Rs 38.01cr in last fiscal.

Film exhibitor Cinemax India on Friday said its net loss for the first quarter ended June 30,2011 has widened to Rs 60 lakh. During the three months ended June 30,2010,the company had posted a net loss of Rs 34 crore,it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The firm’s net sales during the first quarter increased 28.86 per cent to Rs 48.98 crore,compared to Rs 38.01 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year.

Cinemax’s scrips closed at Rs 33.35 per share,down 5.92 per cent from the previous close on the BSE.
