Britannia Q1 profit dips 30 pct to Rs 32 cr

Biscuit maker Britannia posted a 30.6 pct decline in net profit at Rs 32.83 crore for the quarter ended June 30,2010.

Biscuit maker Britannia on Monday posted a 30.6 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 32.83 crore for the quarter ended June 30,2010.

The company had a net profit of Rs 47.37 crore in the corresponding quarter previous fiscal,Britannia said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

During the quarter,net sales of the company stood at Rs 912.8 crore,an increase by 25 per cent from Rs 731.24 crore recorded in the same period last fiscal.
