US teen charged for ‘wrestling’ death of girl

New Orleans: A 13-year-old from a New Orleans suburb was charged with second-degree murder in the death of his 5-year-old half-sister. “The 13-year-old reported he started to wrestle with the victim and practiced ‘WWE’ style wrestling moves on the 5-year-old,” Col. John Fortunato of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Tuesday. AP

China,N Korea hold talks in Beijing

Beijing: Negotiators from North Korea and China held strategic talks in Beijing Wednesday following a rough patch in relations between the communist allies and Pyongyang’s surprise weekend call for dialogue with the US. North Korean First Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye Gwan arrived for talks at the Foreign Ministry with Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui that were expected to focus on bilateral relations and the situation on the Korean Peninsula. Japan approves new n-safety requirements

TOKYO: Japan’s nuclear watchdog formally approved a set of new safety requirements for atomic power plants on Wednesday,paving the way for the reopening of facilities shut down since the Fukushima disaster. Melbourne: An 11-year-old boy in New Zealand has become a father after conceiving a child with the 36-year-old mother of a school friend. The woman coerced the boy,from Auckland,into repeated sexual encounters over a period of time before getting pregnant,the New Zealand Herald newspaper reported. PTI

Assange says will stay in embassy

LONDON: WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said he will not leave the sanctuary of the Ecuadorean Embassy in London even if Sweden stops pursuing sexual assault claims against him because he fears arrest on the order of the US. In an interview with Reuters he said,”My lawyers have advised me I shouldn’t leave the embassy because of the risk of arrest and extradition to the US.” reuters
