Syrian army moves into Dara’a

BEIRUT: Gathering confidence after forcing rebels out of northern strongholds,the Syrian government Wednesday launched its biggest raid on the southern city of Dara’a,where the uprising against President Bashar al-Assad began a year ago.

Death toll 114 in Bangla ferry sinking

DHAKA: Recovery workers on Wednesday raised the wreckage of a ferry that capsized on a river in Bangladesh while carrying about 200 people. The death toll rose to 114.
