Australian tycoons plane wreckage found in Congo
YAOUNDE: Rescuers have found the wreckage of a plane carrying an Australian mining tycoon and other executives,Cameroonian and Congolese officials said. So far 10 bodies have been found,they added. The plane carrying 11 people including tycoon Ken Talbot and the entire board of the Sundance Resources mining firm went missing over the jungle Saturday on a flight from Yaounde,Cameroons capital,to Yangadou in Congo-Brazzaville. A Cameroonian minister confirmed that the wreckage was found in Congo.
50 killed in Congo train accident
BRAZZAVILLE: A derailed train plunged into a ravine in Congo Republic,killing 50 passengers on a deadly rail link in the oil-producing Central African state. The accident happened late on Monday after the train left the coastal town of Pointe-Noire to the capital Brazzaville.
Iran to send relief ship to Gaza
jerusalem: Iran said Tuesday it would send a blockade-busting ship carrying aid and pro-Palestinian activists to Gaza,fueling concern in Israel. The Iranian announcement came days after Israel eased its three-year-old blockade of Gaza under international pressure following its deadly raid on a Gaza-bound flotilla last month. Israel has warned Iran against any such move.
Indonesian pop star detained over sex-tape scandal
JAKARTA: Police say they have detained a popular Indonesian singer over a sex-tape scandal. Pop star Nazril Irham,better known as Ariel,could face jail time if found guilty of violating the countrys strict anti-pornography law. Two separate videos allegedly showing the 28-year-old in bed in each,with a different celebrity girlfriend started circulating on the Internet in early June. National police deputy spokesman Brig. Gen. Zainuri Lubis said the singer turned himself Tuesday after he was named a suspect in the case.
Orlando Bloom to marry Australian model Miranda Kerr
SYDNEY: Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr is set to marry her Hollywood leading man,Orlando Bloom,the couples publicists told media on Tuesday. Kerr,27,who shot to international fame as a Victorias Secret lingerie model,and Bloom,33,star of the Pirates of the Caribbean and The Lord of the Rings movies,began dating in 2007 and have frequently denied rumours of an impending wedding. But Blooms publicist told Entertainment Tonight that this time the reports are true. They are engaged, said the publicist. Kerrs publicist Carlii Lyon told People magazine that both families were excited about the prospect of a wedding.

LOS ANGELES: In the next Pirates of the Caribbean,Johnny Depps seafaring character Jack Sparrow will face a woman from his past,played by Penelope Cruz,and board another buccaneers ship,the studio behind the film said on Monday. The Walt Disney Co revealed those story elements for the new film as it announced that production has started.Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is the fourth movie in the franchise,which to date has earned more than $1 billion at US and Canada box offices. It will hit theaters in 3-D on May 20,2011.
