He had undergone a pacemaker surgery three days back. It is a minor procedure. His condition is stable, an AIIMS doctor said. The surgery involves replacement of the natural pacemaker with an artificial one a small,battery-powered device that sends out weak electrical impulses that cause the heart muscle to contract. Uttarakhand to move SC over Tehri dam DEHRADUN: The Uttarakhand government has decided to move the Supreme Court for the transfer of 25 per cent share of Uttar Pradesh in the Tehri dam to it. The move came after the state law department gave its go-ahead to the government to move the Supreme Court on its behalf. The 25 per cent share currently held by Uttar Pradesh would give the hill state tremendous relief from acute power shortage which it is facing after the Centre scrapped a series of hydel projects on the Bhagirathi river.
