Kiliroor sex scandal: Five get 10-yr RI THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CBI court on Wednesday sentenced the five accused in the Kiliroor sex scandal to 10-years rigorous imprisonment. The accused have also been told to pay fines varying from Rs 10,000 to Rs 45,000. The amount collected as fines will be given as compensation to the parents of the victim. CBI investigation had revealed that a minor girl was lured into prostitution by the accused with an offer of acting in television serials. Bihar govt dismisses six BDOs PATNA: The Bihar government has decided to dismiss six block development officers chargesheeted in the 2005 Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) scam in Araria. The six BDOs,who served at Palasi and Sikti blocks,are alleged to have misused Rs 26 crore from the IAY fund. Two of the BDOs are absconding. NRHM: Ex-principal secy meets CBI men NEW DELHI: Former UP principal secretary Pradeep Shukla,an accused in the NRHM scam who had been reported missing after the CBI raids in January,appeared at the CBI headquarters on Wednesday. Shukla met the officials and reportedly assured that he was ready to cooperated with the probe.
