Bharadhwaj appointed as head of PFS– HSBC India

HSBC India has announced the appointment of Gannesh Bharadhwaj as Head of Personal Financial Services,HSBC India.

HSBC India has announced the appointment of Gannesh Bharadhwaj as Head of Personal Financial Services,HSBC India. In this role,he will be responsible for HSBC’s Premier and Advance propositions,Wealth Management,Liabilities,Consumer Assets and NRI businesses and the distribution network. Before taking over as the Head of Personal Financial Services of HSBC in India,Gannesh was driving Asia Pacific’s consumer assets business focused on Cards,Mortgages and Loans from Hong Kong.

He takes over from Rajnish Bahl,a banker with over 22 years of experience in retail banking in India. Rajnish now moves on to a regional role as the Regional Head of Distribution,Middle East and North Africa.

Gannesh joined the HSBC Group in 2002 and within the Group,has experience across Cards and Consumer Assets. Before moving to Asia he was based in the US as the Managing Director of the Prime Cards business where he had responsibility for the HSBC card portfolio,as well as industry leading co-brands such as Best Buy and General Motors. He also has a rich consulting background as a Principal in Booz Allen & Hamilton’s strategy practice,where he helped consumer products companies drive growth strategies and leverage analytical marketing capabilities.

Speaking on the appointment Stuart A Davis,CEO,India,HSBC said “ We are confident that Gannesh’s appointment will take our retail banking business to even greater heights.”
