Audio release of Harjai

Budding DJs from the four metros – Delhi,Mumbai,Bangalore and Kolkata – are battling it out at a one-of-a-kind national talent hunt to uncover the hottest DJ in the country – the Burn MTV Ultimate DJ Championship. Burn,Coca-Cola’s premium energy drink,in association with MTV,India’s ultimate youth destination,have joined forces for this. Spearheaded by Submerge founder Nikhil Chinappa,the final winner will earn the right to spin decks alongside trance gods,Above & Beyond. The winner will also become the official Submerge and MTV resident DJ for a year,bag state-of-the-art pioneer DJ gear and a slot at a leading UK Festival and more.

From the entries uploaded,15 participants have been shortlisted for the first round of eliminations. The chosen DJ talent across the four cities competed in the regional finals in Mumbai,Bengaluru,Delhi and Kolkata.

UK DJ legend,John ‘00’ Fleming,has been specially roped in by Submerge as the guest judge. The grand finale will be held in Mumbai on September 17.

Mehboob’s song for Commonwealth Games

Writer Mehboob,known for his lyrics in films like Rangeela,Bombay,Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and others has written the Commonwealth song,O yaaron bulaa liya composed by A.R.Rahman.

The lyricist,who also did films like Yuva and Shakti – The Power and also for Yesudas’ album Sitaron Mein Tu Hi is planning to turn director. “But I have postponed the film so that I could concentrate on the song,” he said.
