Astrazeneca Q1 net profit soars over two-fold

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 7.31 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Astrazeneca Pharma India today reported over two-fold jump in its net profit for the quarter ended June 30,at Rs 16.75 crore.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 7.31 crore in the corresponding period last year,Astrazeneca Pharma India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The net sales during the quarter also increased by 22.14 per cent to Rs 129.42 crore from Rs 105.96 crore in the year-ago period.

The shares of the company today closed 1.06 per cent down at Rs 1,310 apiece on the BSE.
