Brahma is one of the 11 BPF MLAs in the Congress-led government in the state. The BPF has one minister in the Tarun Gogoi cabinet.

A section of BPF leaders have now threatened to pull out of the Congress-led alliance.

“What can I do? A few years back,a minister of my government was arrested and sent to Tihar Jail. The law will take its own course. If the court does not find him guilty then he will be released,” said Gogoi.

Meanwhile, the district administration imposed indefinite curfew in the entire Kokrajhar district from 7 am today fearing recurrence of violence.
