Arjun confirms signing Heroine

Arjun Rampal will be acting in a Madhur Bhandarkar film for the first time.

Arjun Rampal will be acting in a Madhur Bhandarkar film for the first time. The actor confirmed that he has signed Heroine. He will be paired with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan after a long gap. They were last seen in Aishwarya’s home production Dil Ka Rishta.

Heroine,which was recently announced at Cannes,is about the journey of an actress. To be jointly produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Madhur Bhandarkar Entertainment,the film will go on floors in June.

Raaz 3 to take off next year

The second sequel to Raaz will take off next year and will star Jacqueline Fernandez opposite Emraan Hashmi. Generally,a sequel has the same director but the original Raaz had Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea and was directed by Vikram Bhatt,while the sequel,Raaz-The Mystery Continues had Emraan Hashmi and Kangna Ranaut and was directed by Mohit Suri. The final announcement for the third part of the series is yet to be made by Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt who are producing the project.

Prateik not approached by Vikramaditya Motwane

Though Vikramaditya Motwane has expressed a desire to work with Prateik,the director has not approached him for a film. Reports that the Udaan director has approached him for the remake of the Tamil hit Kaadhal,a cute love story between a mechanic and a rich girl,are absolutely untrue according to Prateik’s spokesperson. In fact,Motwane is even denying that the remake is his next project. “I am still working on a couple of scripts,” he said.

Chitrangada Singh not part of Race 2

Producer Ramesh Taurani has denied that Chitrangada Singh was approached for Race 2. The sequel to the 2008 hit Race,which was about sibling rivalry,passion and betrayal and directed by Abbas-Mustan,will have six main characters. “We need another heroine to play the female leads besides Deepika Padukone and Sonakshi Sinha but no one has been finalised for the part,” said Taurani. Anil Kapoor,Saif Ali Khan and John Abraham are in the male leads. The film has been postponed by a month and will now take off in September instead of August.
