Anna BP up; reconsider maun vrat, says doctor

Anna Hazare’s personal physician advised him to reconsider his maun vrat

Social activist Anna Hazare’s personal physician on Saturday advised him to reconsider his maun vrat and suggested complete rest for at least a week following high blood pressure and back pain.

According to reports,Hazare’s physician,Dr K H Sancheti, who examined him this afternoon, said Hazare has also been losing weight.

Hazare’s aides said he has been suffering from high blood pressure for about six months now. “It had improved two months ago,so he had stopped taking medicines. But his blood pressure went up in the last two-three days, that’s why we called Dr Sancheti,” said Dada Pathare, who looks after Hazare’s correspondence. According to Pathare,Hazare’s blood pressure was 150-100 on Saturday.
