After months of manhunt, the Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday finally arrested the chief of Dukhataran-i-Millat Asiya Andrabi, traced to a locality on the periphery of the city. Andrabi was held along with her deputy Fahmeeda and both were taken to an unknown location. According to police sources,Andrabi was putting up at a rented residence at Habak for some time to evade arrest. Though a separatist leader with a limited appeal among the women population in the Valley,Andrabi has acquired a big political profile during the ongoing unrest. She has been one of the main spearheads of the large-scale protests in the Valley together with Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Masarat Alam Bhat.
