All equal in Cabinet,no senior or junior

There is no senior and junior cabinet minister. All are equal, Antony told reporters on board stealth warship INS Sahyadri,which he commissioned on Saturday.

Defence Minister A K Antony Saturday said all members of the Cabinet are equal,comments that come in the midst of a stand off between NCP and Congress on issues including the Number 2 slot to Sharad Pawar.

However,NCP maintains that issues with Congress are not over the status for Pawar and that there are other matters. I have told you that it is a standard practice that in Defence Ministers functions,you dont say anything about politics, Antony said refusing to answer similar queries.

Asked about cases of corruption in defence procurement,he said,We are not sparing anybody. We will not tolerate any kind of corruption in the armed forces.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed grief over the accident and directed the officials to expedite the rescue operations, an official statement issued here said.
