Alcatel-Lucent eyes India services hub

Alcatel-Lucent is considering setting up its global services headquarters in India and will take a decision in the near future,Chief Executive Ben Verwaayen said on Friday.

Alcatel-Lucent is considering setting up its global services headquarters in India and will take a decision in the near future,Chief Executive Ben Verwaayen said on Friday.

Verwaayen said the global services headquarters would need about $500 million investments over three years.

He reassured Quad is active, and India aims to go beyond defending interests and catch up in manufacturing.
