Unidentified assailants,who reportedly came on a motorcycle,entered the office of a daily newspaper Ganadoot Patrika in Agartala on Sunday at around 3 pm and stabbed to death three of its employees,including the manager. Tripura IGP and police spokesperson NC Das said three persons,manager Ranjit Chowdhury (58),proof-reader Sujit Bhattacharjee (30) and driver Balaram Ghosh (41),were killed inside the newspaper office. The assailants fled the scene immediately. We are yet to ascertain the identity of the assailants and the motive, Das said over phone from Agartala. A case has been registered and the probe has begun. Sources said the two men first entered editor Sushil Choudhurys chamber and inquired about him. When they could not find him in the ground floor,they went upstairs. There they found manager Ranjit Choudhury. Without provocation,they stabbed him several times on his chest,stomach and neck. The assailants then ran downstairs where they found proof-reader Sujit Bhattacharjee and attacked him. Hearing Bhattacharjee shout for help,driver Balaram Ghosh rushed to the office and was attacked in a similar way.
