Unidentified men abducted and killed the branch manager of a nationalised bank in adjoining Palamau district,a senior police officer said. The bullet-riddled body of Vijay Kumar Sharma,the manager of the State Bank of India's Ramna branch situated in neighbouring Garhwa district,was found on NH-75 near Purnadih village in Palamau district,Deputy Inspector General of Police Sashikant Jha told newspersons in Medininagar. Sharma was kidnapped when he was returning to Garwha from the bank on a motorcycle last evening,the police said. Pillion rider Satish Kumar,the bank's marketing officer,managed to escape.
