Jennifer (Riya Sen) is a beautiful young girl with a boyfriend photographer called Kabeer (Eddie Seth). In his ambition to show the world something never seen before,he unleashes an evil being that gets obsessed with Jennifer and does not stop at murdering anyone who comes in its way. So the cops too are after the love-birds.

Kabeer and Jennifer rush to priests in churches twice, and both send them to dargahs, and then there is a lecherous Hindu priest (talk about religious disintegration!) Finally,a Muslim baba offers to help,as he ‘knows’ the evil being who has gone astray personally! The being is even trapped, but is it the end of the story?

Place this basic idea in the hands of expert writers and directors and we could have got a reasonably good, even if familiar, horror drama. But here, even the writers are not credited, which is good because as the film turns out, they are saved from disgrace! The direction is so amateurish that so many situations and the dialogues make you laugh (at the film,of course) far more than you would in a mindless wacky comedy!

There is nothing to recommend in any other department. And the acting dishonours go to newcomer Eddie Seth (who should have groomed much more before wanting to be launched) and Riya Sen,who just does not measure up. Yashpal Sharma and Ehsaan Qureshi are the only actors who invest full sincerity in their performances,as if they are acting in great cinema. Ashutosh Rana is clearly having a good time, but somewhere he falls short.

Rating:*

Just one star for Sharma,Qureshi, and for that germ of an idea that was destroyed by the ‘spirit’ of the makers! Horrors!
