An earthquake of medium intensity jolted Delhi and its satellite towns late Wednesday evening,drawing panic-stricken people out of their homes.
The tremors,measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale,had its epicentre in Haryanas Sonepat at 11:28 pm. The tremors were felt for less than 10 seconds.

There were no immediate reports of any casualties. The fire brigade and police said they had not received any distress calls.
