The Special CBI court hearing the 2G spectrum cases on Wednesday reserved its order on a CBI plea to call 17 additional witnesses

The Special CBI court hearing the 2G spectrum cases on Wednesday reserved its order on a CBI plea to call 17 additional witnesses, including Reliance ADAG chief Anil Ambani and his wife Tina Ambani as witnesses. The court decision is now expected on Friday.

Three top executives of Reliance ADAG,along with others, are facing trial on charges of corruption in the allotment of 2G spectrum licence. The agency has said that the Ambanis were being called to ascertain the alleged investment of over Rs 990 crore by Reliance ADA Group in Swan Telecom Pvt Ltd. The CBI has argued that Anil Ambani will be able to “throw light” on the issue of the alleged investment by his group companies.
