11 drink school tubewell water,hospitalised

Eleven children of a Chhapra school were admitted to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) after drinking water from the school tubewell. They are being treated and are stable.

Eleven children of a Chhapra school were admitted to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) after drinking water from the school tubewell. They are being treated and are stable. Six children were also taken ill after drinking tubewell water in Kuchaikot school (Gopalganj). They are also stated to be out of danger.

Saran district magistrate Abhijeet Sinha said 11 children from a middle school complained of stomach ache after drinking tubewell water. HRD principal secretary Amarjeet Sinha said blood tests of all 11 children showed they were clinically fine. “It was more psychological,” he said. The government has ordered a probe into the Gopalgan incident as there are complaints some substance had been poured into tubewell
