Addressing a press meet on Sunday, CBI director P.C. Sharma said the .32 bore revolver allegedly used to gun down Haren Pandya and a pistol of the same bore kept by one of the killer’s accomplice have been found.
He said the two motorcycles used for the crime and the clothes worn by the killers have been recovered. The two handguns and some ammunition were recovered ‘‘in the city on Saturday’’.
Refusing to divulge any more details, he said the recovery was made on information obtained during the interrogation of three suspects — Anas Machiswala, Kalim Ahmed and Shahnawaz.
Sharma refused to say if CBI had established a motive, but denied the possibility of a supari killing. ‘‘We are yet to make a few more arrests…Asghar Ali has revealed some vital facts,” he said, adding that chances of ISI links are also being explored. The CBI would be filing chargesheets soon.
