NEW DELHI, JANUARY 27: Union Water Resources Development Minister Dr C P Thakur on Thursday inaugurated a website on water resources and its development in the country, as part of efforts to bring to the public information on the Government's policy.The website consists of 11 modules and 50 sub-modules with information related to water resources and its development, constitutional provision related to water, and the Government's policy on water, the Minister informed reporters.Links have also been provided with Central Water Commission (CWC) and National Institute of Hydrology, who have also launched their own websites, he said.The site has also been linked to other related ministries namely agriculture, environment and forests, urban development and rural development and international organisations like FAO and GWP.Thakur said the opening of the site will help in increasing mass awareness and greater participation of the public in decision making process.
