MUMBAI, October 22: A Bihar court has issued bailable warrants against two directors of the TV channel Asia Television Network (ATN), in an alleged case of cheating.The warrants were to be executed in Mumbai to ensure the presence of the directors in Giridh, Bihar, where the case has been filed. Investigating Officer of the case in Giridh, G K Mishra, told Express Newsline that the Chief Judicial magistrate of Giridh had issued the warrants against Sidharth Srivastav, CMD of ATN, and Anil Srivastav, one of the directors. Another accused, Bipinbhai Bordiwala, was arrested on Tuesday and released on a personal bond.The complainant is an advocate in Giridh, Pawan Salampuria, who had alleged that the company had not delivered shares worth Rs five lakh, which he had bought. When he approached the company for cash, he was sent cheques for the amount. The cheques allegedly bounced. When this newspaper contacted the ATN office, one Ms Farooqi came on the line and claimed that the Srivastavs were out of town, and that ``everything'' the Giridh officer earlier said was false. She could not furnish the telephone numbers of the Srivastavs, nor tell in which part of the country they were. She also claimed that another director, Anil Khanna, who was in the office, did not know where Sidharth Srivastav was.
