Vote boycott in three booths

Some voters in Bahalda Assembly segment of Mayurbhanj parliamentary constituency boycotted polling to protest the lack of development work in their villages.

Also, 300-odd voters under Uparpara booth under Rairangpur Assembly segment staged a sit-in protest as their names were missing from the voters’ list. The EC, meanwhile, pulled up Orissa Assembly Speaker Sarat Kumar Kar, Congress candidate from Bhubaneswar Assembly seat, for model code violation.
