New Delhi, Dec 9: All India service officers working with state governments should also be brought under the purview of Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) chief N Vittal said here today.

“IAS, IPS and Indian Forest Service officers with states are currently not under the purview of CVC. They need to be brought under the commission’s ambit for normal vigilance function," Vittal told reporters on the sidelines of a seminar on “management in digital era” organised by Delhi university.

At present the CVC looks into cases of alleged corruption and fraud involving all India service officers working with states only when they are referred to it.
