SHIMOGA, July 21: Angry villagers of Santekadu near here, locked up several health officials who had, under the deputy director of the district health department, come the village to deliver a lecture on sanitation and health care. The villagers, angered by the non-implementation of the drinking water supply scheme under the World Bank aid, voiced their demands in a novel way. The officials were not allowed to go out of the gram panchyat office until an assurance was given about the implementation of the project.
