Verdict likely on Dera chief’s bail plea today

The CBI court is expected to give its order on the bail plea of the Dera Sacha Sauda chief charged with murder and rape.

The CBI court here is expected to give its order on the bail plea of the Dera Sacha Sauda chief charged with murder and rape on Thursday.

The arguments on the bail application concluded on Monday and Judge R K Saini had reserved the order for Thursday.

The CBI had opposed the regular bail plea and also sought cancellation of interim bail alleging Dera chief Guru Ram Raheem Singh was threatening witnesses.

Police have made tight security arrangements in view of the verdict and the administration anticipates huge turnout of Dera followers here.

A company of RAF which has reached the city carried out a flag march at Ambala City, especially at court complex road.

Superintendent of police K V Ramana has also summoned meeting of senior police officers of Ambala this evening to discuss security arrangements.
