CHENNAI, APRIL 19: If Deve Gowda could be removed as prime minister and I K Gujral, from the same party, be made the PM, there is no reason why Atal Behari Vajpayee cannot be made the prime minister again, BJP state general secretary L Ganesan said on Monday.In a press statement he said that this was the only way to avoid polls. In the last Parliamentary polls, the BJP were the only ones to announce their Prime Ministerial candidate and a large section of people had voted in favour of Vajpayee. Even today, the BJP enjoys the support of large section of MPs, as per law and on moral grounds.With the Forward Bloc and the Revolutionary Socialist Party opposed to the Congress rule, TMC's opposition to the AIADMK's inclusion in the government and with Mayawati's indecisive, it will be impossible to form an alternative Government, he said. Even if the government is formed, there can only be a dummy candidate as a Prime Minister which will at the most be a temporary arrangement till the next polls are held, headded.
