CHANDIGARH, June 18: Giving a strong rebuff to the dissidents in the Punjab Youth Congress and the Chandigarh Territorial Youth Congress, All India Youth Congress President Munish Tewari today made it clear that the presidents of the two state would not be changed.

Addressing a press conference, Tewari said that the youth activists should now engage themselves in constructive activity instead of raising the bogey for replacing Jasbir Singh Dimpa, Punjab Youth Congress chief and Vijay Pal Singh Dimpy.

He said that monitoring of all the units based on feedback from independent sources was a continuous process and vested interest need not create indiscipline by planting stories in newspapers.Tewari expressed his opposition to the extension granted in the retirement age of government employees by the BJP. This according to him would add to the frustration of educated unemployed youth.

On giving a fillip to the organisation, AIYC president said that the state units had been asked prepare a programme chart pertaining to their proposed activities during the next six months. Each state would decide about local issue of interest to the people to fight for.Flanked by presidents of PYCC and CTYCC, Tewari said that Priyanka Gandhi was welcome to join YC any time.
