BHUBANESWAR, OCT 26: Flying a 1957 model twin engine aircraft, three American students landed here on Wednesday as part of their three month long world tour programme.

Christopher Kenneth Wall, Daniel Dominiguez and Mathew Stevenson, who embarked on the 26,526 miles journey across 28 countries on September 12 last at Rochester, are keen to find mention in the Guinness Book of World Records as the youngest fliers to complete the trip.

"Flying over the Pacific was the best moment of my life. It was blue sea all over and the experience was thrilling," Wall told reporters at a felicitation organised in their honour here by the Rotary Club, Bhubaneswar.

The students, who are scheduled to visit the Sun Temple at Konark, Puri, Dhauligiri and some places of interest in Bhubaneswar, are also scheduled to speak to about 1,000 students.

Felicitating the fliers, the president of the Rotary Club, Gopal Chandra Kar, described the effort as `extraordinary’. Their trip, Christened World Flight-2000, was supported by the Rotary Club of Brighton, he said.

The students are scheduled to take off from here for Thailand on Saturday.
