Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Sukhdeo Rajbhar had a narrow escape in a road accident which left a youth injured in the Kaji Sarai area of Varanasi on Friday. The accident took place when the escort car just ahead of Rajbhar’s vehicle hit a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. “The motorcyclist was trying to overtake a truck when the motorcade of the Assembly Speaker came in front of him resulting in the accident,” SP (Varanasi Rural) Sripati Mishra told The Indian Express. The youth, identified as Nand Lal Sahu (30) and a resident of Ramaipur village near Babatpur, was rushed to Pragya Hospital. Rajbhar’s car was damaged slightly after hitting the rear of the escort car, he added.
