.

Director Dibakar Banerjee talks about life after the Mumbai attacks and the adverse effect of the incident on his film Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!

Are you happy with the response to your film?
Frankly, I didn8217;t care. The Mumbai terror attacks have left us all numb. But this Monday, my producer called up to say that apparently the film has received overwhelming response in Mumbai. That8217;s encouraging.

What is the mood of the film fraternity of Mumbai like now?
I really can8217;t answer that question. As a human being I can tell you that we are deeply traumatized. My friends and I don8217;t know how to react to this carnage.

Were you brought up in Mumbai?
No, I am a Delhi boy. I have been in Mumbai for the past few years but you cant help but be drawn to this city.

Speaking of Delhi, the city is almost a character in Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! 8230;
The milieu of the city was a part of the script. And I believe that I understand the city.

Your films talk about the middle-class Delhi8230;
That8217;s my comfort zone. I like making films on subjects that I know about.

What8217;s your next film about ?
It8217;s an angry film. It8217;s a bit political too. But it8217;s not about the terror attacks.
