Under-12 Shivalik Trophy from August 5

CHANDIGARH, July 28: The under-12 football tournament for Shivalik Trophy will be held from August 5 to 10, according to PS Brar, ad-hoc secretary of the Chandigarh Football Association. Players born on or January 1, 1988, are eligible to participate in the meet.

More than ten teams have confirmed their participation. The last date of entries is August 2. During the meet, the CFA will also make identity cards of the players. “The ID cards will enable us to maintain the records and check overage players from taking further part in the meet,” informed PS Brar.

The CFA has also consituted various sub-committees for the smooth conduct of the meet.

The opening match will be held at Panjab University ground on August 5, while the semifinals and final are slated to be held at the Sector 17 Football Stadium.
