Bhopal, May 7: Local BJP MP, Uma Bharti on Sunday warned the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh that she would continue her agitation in protest against retrenchment of the State Government’s daily wage workers till they were reinducted into service.
Talking informally to reporters here after appearing at Mayur Park, where she resumed her indefinite hunger strike, she said it was, "highly improper on the part of the State Government to make huge spendings on ministers and top officials while the poor were on the brink of starvation".
Bharti had on Saturday announced that she would make an appearance at Mayur Park and arrived there in a burqa, which she later took off.
Bharti also addressed those present at the park and later resumed her indefinite hunger strike which had been interrupted near the Mantralya at Vallabh Bhavan due to police action on late Friday night.
