Despite Turkey8217;s injury and suspension crisis ahead of Wednesday8217;s semi-final match against Germany at the European Championship, UEFA has no plans to alter its rules and allow the team to call up more players.
The Turks were without six players when they beat Croatia 3-1 in a penalty shootout in the quarter-finals Friday, and lost a further three 8212; Tuncay Sanli, Arda Turan and Emre Asik 8212; to suspension due to accumulated cards during the match at Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna. Striker Nihat Kahveci also hurt his thigh and is ruled out of the tournament, adding to coach Fatih Terim8217;s worries.
