Chandigarh, July 25: A city police constable Harnek Singh, who was admitted to the PGI a few days ago after he had met with an accident, succumbed to his injuries here today.He was injured when the motorcycle he was riding was reportedly hit by a truck at the rotary of Sectors 29, 31, Industrial Area Phase I and II.An inquiry is already on as to what was the policeman doing at the place of accident, which is nearly three kilometres away from his position of deployment. Gunman Rajbir Singh, who was pillion-riding, had escaped unhurt. In a separate case, an unidentified woman apparently in her 30s, succumbed to her injuries at the PGI today. She was admitted yesterday after she fell off a bus in Sector 22.
