NEW DELHI, June 8: If only all robbers were like this. These thieves attempted to make their crime as free of trauma as possible for their victim. The incident occurred in New Friends Colony around 12.10 p.m.

Krishna Kant, 65, was alone at home. Her son Sunil Chadha was at work in Cannaught Place and her daughter-in-law, doctor Geeta Chadha was at her clinic. Two youths came to the house and asked for the doctor. They were told that she was not at home.

They returned after a while and again asked for Dr. Chaddha. When they were told that she was not at home, they left — only to return, this time with a knife and toy pistol. They reportedly told the woman that they were forced to rob her as they had a very sick relative at home and had no money. They assured her that she would not be harmed and relieved her of Rs 8,000 and a ring. They also asked her to swear that she would not tell the police.

Krishna Kant did not inform anyone till over an hour after the incident when her daughter-in-law came home. When she was informed off the incident, she told the police.
