SURAT, Aug 18: The city Prevention of Crime Branch PCB detained a woman running a brothel and a listed bootlegger under PASA on Tuesday, PCB sources said. Nafisa Dawood Jaffery Kachwala, who runs a brothel in the Palanpur Patia area of Rander and has been arrested at least twice earlier, was arrested and despatched to the Central Jail, Vadodara, to serve a sentence.
A listed bootlegger, Kanu Devji Patel alias Kanhaiyya, was also arrested and despatched to the Porbandar Special Jail. Kanu was nabbed with a Tempo Trax jeep and 401 bottles of liquor worth Rs 12,000 on Tuesday.
