Their relationship at the state-level strained, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has decided to have no truck with Congress in the civic polls in Andhra Pradesh.
‘‘At a time when Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has adopted an anti-Telangana attitude, we feel that an alliance with Congress is not possible. Therefore, we have decided to go it alone in the municipal elections,’’ Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief and Union Labour Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao told reporters here today.
The TRS has 26 members in the Assembly, of whom six were members of the YSR Ministry till the middle of July, when Rao made them resign.
