Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has resigned from his post though the Governor has requested him to continue in office till alternative arrangements were made.

Official sources said here this afternoon that after his formal election as the leader of the Left Front Legislature Party on March 6, Sarkar might meet Governor Lt Gen K.M.
