AUGUST 8: The Mumbai police have imposed the following traffic instructions in view of the Quit India Day celebrations in the city from 8 am to 11 pm tomorrow.The following roads will be made one-way:Tejpal road, from its junction with August Kranti Marg to its junction with Krishna Sanghi Path, (no entry from the Krishna Sanghi Path end). August Kranti Marg (Gowalia Tank Road), from its junction with Pandita Ramabai Marg (Nana Chowk) to its junction with Forjett Street, (no entry from the Tardeo road junction).Forjett Street from its junction, with August Kranti Marg to its junction with Tardeo road, (no entry from Tardeo road junction).Parking restrictions have been imposed on: Pandita Ramabai Marg, August Kranti Marg from Nana Chowk to Kemp's Corner, Tejpal Road, Forjett Street, Krishna Sanghi Path, Laburnum Road, Kashibai Navrange Marg, Phanaswadi Lane and Bhaidas Maganlal Marg. The police have also made security arrangements to avoid any untoward incident.A special police force has been deployed on the route from airport to the Maidan. An Additional Commissioner of Police will be stationed at all strategic points like Hotel Centaur, Vakola, Kalanagar, Mahim, Century Bazar, Worli Check Naka, Kemps Corner and the venue. Security arrangements have also been made at Mani Bhavan, Tejpal Auditorium, and Y B Chavan auditorium. Special forces have been deployed to check black-flag demonstrations by Congress workers.
