MAY 6: Traffic will be diverted in certain areas on May 7 due to Mohurram procession. As per the press release issued by the Addl Commissioner of police office the diversions are:
The procession crosses I R Road from West to East from Pakmodia Street and Yakub Street to reach J J Junction and then proceeds along Ramchandra Bhat Marg, traffic along Sir J J Road, Mohammed Ali Road up to Mahatma Phule Market would be diverted totally. Thus diverting South bound traffic from Byculla, below Fly-over North bound traffic at Chakala Junction. Motorists are advised to take-up following routes for South/North movements. For the South bound, turn right at Khada Parsi Juction towards Nagpada Junction and turn right to Bomen Behram Marg, Mumbai Central Junction left turn to Dr D B Marg and to South.
For the North bound, from Mahatma Phule Market Crawford Market they should turn right at Chakala Junction along Carnac Road L T Marg, Carnac Bunder Junction, P D8217;Mello Road towards Dockyard or turn left at SitaramBuilding, Dr D N Road, L T Marg, Dhobi Talao and further via J S S Road Girgaon Road or Maharshi Karve Road Queen8217;s Road.
