Almost seven years after his aged parents committed suicide by jumping from the balcony of their eighth-floor flat in Grand Paradi Apartments, Balkrishna Dalal decided to do the same. Early on Monday morning, the 48-year-old businessman, his wife Sonal (46) and daughter Pooja (19) jumped from the balcony of their three-bedroom apartment, leaving a suicide note saying they ‘‘were fed up with life’’. On June 14, 1998, Balkrishna’s parents, Vasudev (76) and Tara (76), had jumped out of the same flat, which sources say is worth Rs 3 crore. In his suicide note, Vasudev blamed his son and daughter-in-law Interestingly, Monday was the final hearing of the 1998 case. ‘‘There’s no foul play as we have got two suicide notes, one in Balkrishna’s pocket and another in his house. The building watchmen are witnesses,’’ said DCP (Zone 2) Pratap Dighavkar.
